오승은은 2008년에는 사업가 박 씨와 결혼, 슬하에 두 딸을 얻는 기쁨도 누렸지만 2013년 드라마 '지성이면 감천' 출연 이후 돌연 활동을 중단해 팬들의 궁금증을 유발했었는데 솔로 가수로 연예계 컴백을 알렸다.
오승은은 "고향에서 1년 넘게 지내며 카페를 운영했다. 그러면서 뭔가 의미있는 일을 해보고 싶었다. 그래서 재야에 숨어있는 음악적인 고수들과 뭉쳐서 한 달에 한번씩 카페에서 밴드 공연을 하고 수익금은 불우이웃 돕기를 비롯한 좋은 일에 썼다. 그러면서 무대가 그리워졌다. 다시 활동을 해봐야 겠다 싶었다"고 밝혔다고 한다.
